Crafty Hands' expert staff teaches the fine art of knitting from beginners to the more advanced knitter. Class sessions are every Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Classes are set up quarterly, meaning classes begin in January, April, July, and October.
 
What You'll Learn
Each class session consists of teaching the basics of knitting as well as starting several projects such as scarves, ponchos, and felted bags. We offer assistance for any questions or instructions. The price for a three-month session is $90, materials not included but required to be purchased from Crafty Hands to complete a project.

The Great American Afghan

One Square at a time!!!

Take your knitting to the next step  

                                                The possibilities are endless.

4 class options:  1st Friday morning 10-12

                                   3rd Friday morning 10-12

                               1st Monday evening 6-8

                                    3rd Monday evening 6-8

Prerequisites:  Preregistration is required.

                             Class cost-$15.00 per session

                              Purchase the book and yarn at Crafty Hands (usually 1 skein per square)

                               The yarn--Cascade 220 or Cascade 220 superwash

                               The book--The Great American Afghan - published by XRX, Inc.

     It is not necessary to take all of the classes!  Take only the squares that intrigue you or contain techniques you would like to learn.  You must be able to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, increase and decrease.  The square for the following month will be announced well in advance.  This allows you to plan for the day and time you can come.

      Don't want to make the entire afghan?  Make two squares and turn it into a pillow!  Make 16 and turn it into a lap throw.  Put 12 or more together for a sampler pullover or kimono!  The possibilities are endless!
